Biscochong Halimaw at the launch of Norman Wilwayco's new book 'Guerilla'.
Bookay-Ukay has a great selection of books at Book Sale prices. Definitely worth a look when you're in Teacher's Village, QC. At 55 Maginhawa St, adjacent to Tomatokick resto.
I bought me a copy of 'Philosophy and Science Fiction' edited by Michael Philips.

David Gage Realist 1/4" violin pickup
At last, I got my new David Gage Realist violin pickup with 1/4" dia. standard guitar cord jack. This is a new version of the product, which had previously featured a 1/8" dia. 'mini' headphone jack.
I had the original version, but it broke. Fortunately, it was still under warranty so they replaced and upgraded it for free. Excellent customer service over at www.davidgage.com

Threadless too! Thanks, Ona and Marco!
My second ever Threadless shirt, 'Hidden' by Jessica Walsh. Thanks, Ona and Marco! I really didn't expect this. For a writer, it says a lot that I really am touched beyond words.
Salamat sa Dan Moi jaw harp, Sir Nowell!
My friend Sir Nowell brought this back for me all the way from Vietnam en route to Cambodia. The Dan Moi a kind of jaw harp made of brass, used by the Hmong. Similar instruments exist all across Southeast Asia, but are usually made of bamboo.
Thank you, Sir Nowell!

Why American toy collectors envy us
See, this is why it's great to be Asian. No paranoid warfreaks who can't tell the difference between a Megatron toy and a real gun.
Manga Spawn, unaffordable :(
I've been looking all over for this mechanized version of Spawn with the detachable insect head, but I can't afford it right now. Sigh. Ah, well. There WILL be a next time.

Nagkagulo sa Independencia screening
We waited in line for hours here at Shangri La EDSA for the screening of 'Independencia' only to be told that there were no more seats available because many of the seats inside had been reserved already.

Scrabble at Murphy's, Makati
I was watching 'How I Met Your Mother' with my friends Carlo, Karen, and Ernest when they joked about how it would be cool to hang out like the characters on the show. So I brought them to Murphy's Makati!
We got to playing Scrabble. I got lucky on the first draw :-P (see photo)

My latest toy acquisition, thanks to Jol.
I love the 'pinakbet' colors! They make it look more military-like.
